To support our continued growth we are recruiting for an experienced Building Services Engineer to join our multi-disciplined consultancy team. The role will be primarily focused on domestic (and some commercial) properties that incorporate high levels of fabric performance, heat recovery ventilation, and renewable energy.
Key features of the role include:
Liaising with architects and clients to advise on low energy design options
Development of M&E specifications for new build and retrofit projects
Supporting clients through the build programme, liaising with contractors to ensure designs are delivered to a high quality
Working with our product team to support design and installation of MVHR and renewable energy generation
Research and training
Business development – responding to client enquiries, developing quotes, presenting webinars
Supporting and developing colleagues to foster an environment of support and shared learning
A degree in an engineering discipline, minimum 2:1.
At least 2 years experience with mechanical services design (we would also welcome candidates with much more experience)
Detail-oriented and strong communication skills
Ability to commute to our Southwark office at least once per week (post current lockdown restrictions)
A passion for low energy building design and implementation
Electrical services design knowledge
Understanding of building physics principles
Achieved of working towards Chartered status
Experience managing a team, including training and mentoring colleagues
