Enhabit was contacted in order to confirm a suitable build-up for internal wall insulation for the architects (Morris Architects) of Hue Court refurbishment in St Helier, Jersey.
Hue Court consists of two, 10-storey residential tower blocks built between 1974 and 1976. They are to be refurbished to extend the lifetime for a further 25 years. Built in in-situ concrete and concrete external cladding, they are in need of extensive repair and retrofit.
Enhabit undertook dynamic hygrothermal modelling of the external walls using WUFI in accordance with BS 5250 and BS EN 15026. The correct weather file and sensitivity analysis for different materials are both crucial to a good WUFI calculation. Morris Architects then had the required information to verify the design to their clients.
Morris Architects said “We are extremely happy with the service we have received from Enhabit, they have been professional throughout and have provided knowledgeable answers to our questions in a timely manner to suit our clients programme”
