Thank you for your interest in a heat pump solution from Enhabit. Our service includes the full design, supply, install and commissioning of the heat pump system, including internal heat pump compatible hot water cylinder. We are currently providing this service for a wide range of new build and existing homes in London and South East England.
Why heat pumps?
An air source heat pump uses the refrigeration cycle to transfer heat from the outside air to provide space heating and hot water. The heat pump works at a coefficient of performance between 2-3 so for every kWh of electricity that it uses it transfers 2-3 kWh of heat from the outside air. This reduces the carbon intensity of your main heat source and as the national grid gains a larger renewable electricity proportion, switching from fossil-fuelled to heat pump heating should continue to reduce your carbon footprint.

Costs & possible funding
We are not tied to any specific supplier and will find a heat pump solution that best fits your needs. An estimate for a high quality air source heat pump and compatible unvented hot water cylinder would be around £11,000 + 5% VAT, including system design, installation and commissioning. By using Enhabit as an MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) and Trustmark certified installer you should be eligible for the Green Homes Grant and the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI). This could provide up to £5,000 towards the initial capital cost and potentially a further £2,000 to £5,000 spread over 7 years (depending on estimated heat demand from an EPC). This combined benefit means the overall cost should be similar to a replacement gas boiler.
