Thank you for your interest in a solar thermal system from Enhabit. Our service includes the full design, supply, install and commissioning of the solar thermal system, including hot water cylinder. We are currently providing this service for a wide range of new build and existing homes in London and South East England.
Why solar thermal?
A well designed solar thermal system can provide you with 50% of your hot water demand giving you independence from your alternative heat source during summer and a contribution towards your hot water needs during spring and autumn. This will provide you with savings on your energy bills and also reduce your carbon footprint to help reduce your impact on the climate.
Costs & possible funding
Design, supply, installation and MCS commissioning of a typical solar thermal system will cost between £6,000 to £6,500 + 5% VAT. You may also have additional costs for scaffolding to allow roof access. Enhabit can provide design, supply, installation and commissioning, all completed to comply with the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) and Trustmark so that you can claim the Green Homes Grant and Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI). For a typical domestic system this should entitle you to either around £3,000 upfront or payments of £300 per year for a period of 7 years totalling a payment of £2,100. The amount varies depending on the system details. This is designed to partly offset the capital cost.
